Early Life and EducationBorn on September 8, 1934, Bernard Donoughue was the son of Thomas Joseph Donoughue.
He received his early education at Campbell Secondary Modern School and Northampton Grammar School. Subsequently, he pursued a degree in history at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1957 and a Doctor of Philosophy from Nuffield College, Oxford, in 1963.
Academic Career
